Built as a private estate home by colonel sam tate, land baron, philanthropist and business tycoon in 1926, it is now known and loved as an atlanta area wedding venue.

It became part of the string of plantations outside of savannah that helped create the economy of georgia. The nolan farm operated from 1856 until about 1970 and covered around 2,000 acres in morgan county, georgia. The house was the center of a rural georgia farm for 100 years.
